Sunset by NEON comes back to Genting Highlands on 26 and 27 September 2026 for Chapter 2. Ticketmelon lists the window as 5pm Saturday through 11:59pm Sunday. Age limit is 18. The named acts on the ticket page are Agents of Time, in their Malaysia debut, with Yotto, Rivo and SLVR. Early Trust tickets at RM288 and 2-day GA early bird at RM328 are sold out. Current 2-day GA is RM348.
The festival is not an Arena of Stars concert. Recent editions, including Upperground on 20 June 2026 with ARTBAT and R3HAB, used the outdoor site at Resorts World Awana. Organiser NEON Projects is a Malaysian company. Yahoo News Malaysia, citing Malay Mail in June 2026, reported Sunset by NEON at 85th on DJ Mag's Top 100 Festivals list, with sister brand Neon Countdown at 53rd. The Chapter 2 socials also flag Visit Malaysia 2026 support.
Tickets that are still moving
Trust tickets are gone. So is 2-day GA early bird. What Ticketmelon still showed on 6 September is 2-day GA Tier 1 at RM348, 2-day VIP Stage Experience at RM788, and VIP Terrace tables at RM8,000. VIP Stage includes an elevated free-standing deck on stage, exclusive bars, a VIP chill-out zone, priority entry, VIP restrooms and GA access. The RM8,000 terrace package is listed with two-day passes, five VIP terrace passes, a drink package, a standing table reservation, VIP bar access, fast-lane entry, terrace access and air-conditioned restrooms.
Buy on Ticketmelon or sunsetbyneon.asia. Do not use random concert Telegram sellers. Genting already runs public advisories on fake videos and unauthorised ticketing. Festival wristbands are not Arena of Stars numbered seats. If a listing promises a PS1 seat for Sunset by NEON, it is the wrong product.
What the June chapter already proved
Chapter 1 this year was Upperground on 20 June, ARTBAT's concept, with R3HAB, Chris Avantgarde, 7SKIES and PlastiK Funk. FMT and Juice covered that night as a one-date takeover of the Awana outdoor floor. Chapter 2 is two days, which matches the 2025 September edition more closely. Malay Mail reported that 2025 weekend at 18,000 people over two days on a controlled-capacity model, with a mix of Malaysian acts and international headliners.
Genting in late September is cold once the sun drops. 5pm start means you will still see daylight on Saturday, then you will want a jacket by 9pm. The hill is wet. The merch store on the official site is already selling a raincoat in the Chapter 2 collection, which tells you what the production team expects. There is no Rainy Day Guarantee like SkyWorlds. If the mountain closes in, you stand in it.
Do not treat it as a walk-up from the casino
Awana sits below the hilltop hotels. You do not stroll out of SkyCasino into the paddock. Plan a SkyWay or shuttle hop, then a walk on the Awana grounds. The same weekend holds the national lion dance final at Arena of Stars and Lanternverse night sessions at SkyWorlds on the 25th and 26th. Those crowds use the same cable car. If you only care about the festival, arrive before 5pm Saturday and stay at Resorts World Awana rather than First World Hotel.
Agents of Time is the billing hook. The Italian duo's Time Machine concept is what the ticket copy is selling, not a generic melodic-techno DJ sandwich. Yotto, Rivo and SLVR round the published list. More names may still drop. The June show held set times until close to the date. Watch the Instagram and Ticketmelon page in the two weeks before 26 September rather than trusting a Facebook graphic from June.
