The First World Plaza outlet sits at unit T2-P03 on Level 1, a spot that places it squarely in the path of foot traffic between the indoor theme park and the hotel towers. For a brand that started as a manufacturer supplying kuih to other vendors, this is a proper retail debut on the mountain. The company was founded by partners with over 25 years of food and beverage manufacturing experience, and their philosophy is stubbornly old-school: fragrant coconut, high-grade Gula Melaka and natural colour extracted from fresh pandan leaves, with no shortcuts.
What to look for on the counter
The brand is best known for its freshly made Nyonya kuih, the colourful, softly textured steamed cakes that are the backbone of Peranakan snacking. Expect the classics: kuih talam, kuih lapis, onde-onde, kuih bangkit and the pandan-flavoured seri muka. Beyond the sweets, the counter carries curry puffs, mee siam and nasi lemak, which makes it a practical stop for a quick bite if you are waiting out a queue at Skytropolis or grabbing breakfast before the cable car down.

The Genting menu has not been published in full yet, but the brand's positioning suggests the mountain outlet will sit in the same affordable bracket, not at inflated tourist prices.
Why a kuih outlet matters at Genting
First World Plaza has long had Nyonya Colors, the chain Nyonya snack shop on Level 2, but options for freshly made Peranakan kuih on the mountain remain surprisingly thin. Nyonya Recipe Malaysia arrives with a manufacturing background rather than a restaurant pedigree, which means the kuih is made centrally to a consistent standard and delivered fresh daily. That is a different proposition from a kitchen cooking to order, and it suits the high-volume, grab-and-go nature of a theme park crowd.
The Gohtong Sentral outlet in August will catch the cable car traffic at the mid-hill station, where visitors transfer between the Awana SkyWay and the Genting SkyWay. If you are driving up rather than taking the gondola, Gohtong Sentral is also where you park, so the location is a sensible pick-up point for anyone heading home with a box of kuih.
