Genting SkyWorlds is running its first night session this month. Lanternverse 2026 keeps three park zones open from 7pm to 10pm on selected September dates, with last entry at 9pm. Malaysian tickets are RM38. Non-Malaysian tickets are RM88. Wristbands are collected at the SkyWorlds ticketing counters before you go in.
The remaining nights after 6 September are 11, 12, 15, 18, 19, 25 and 26 September. Earlier sessions on 3, 4 and 5 September have already run. If you are planning a weekend trip, 11 to 12 September and 18 to 19 September are the next two-night clusters. The last pair, 25 to 26 September, overlaps with the lion dance finals at Arena of Stars and Sunset by NEON at Awana, so rooms and cable-car queues will be heavier that weekend.
What actually stays open after 7pm
This is not the full daytime park with the lights off. Official copy limits night rides to Central Park, Liberty Lane and Andromeda Base. Rides can close without notice for weather. Height cut-off is 100cm. The Rainy Day Guarantee does not apply. Virtual Queue reservations do not apply either, which matters if you are used to booking slots on the SkyWorlds app during the day.
Daytime hours stay 10am to 6pm, closed Tuesdays except Malaysia public holidays and school holidays. Hotel guests at Resorts World Genting and Resorts World Awana still get 9:30am early entry if they show a key card or booking confirmation with a valid park ticket. Lanternverse is a separate ticket on top of that. A daytime standard ticket does not automatically roll into the night session.
RM33 if you already spent in the resort that day
Buy any of these on the same day and the night ticket drops to RM33 at the SkyWorlds counters: Flavours of Genting mooncakes, theme park retail merchandise, a Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass, or a Genting SkyWorlds Standard 1-Day Ticket. That RM5 cut is only for same-day purchase, redeemed at the SkyWorlds counters, not online later.
Mooncakes themselves run until 25 September at three kiosks: the former Visitor Galleria on the Genting Grand lobby (10am to 10pm), Flavours of Genting on the First World Hotel lobby (10am to 10pm), and a pop-up at Grand Cha Chaan Teng on Level 1, SkyAvenue (24 hours). Online mooncake orders had to be collected by 10 September, so walk-up kiosk stock is what is left for late September.
MoonBunny, stilts and the lantern parade
The night programme is short and repeated. Liberty Lane has a MoonBunny meet and greet at 7pm and 9:15pm, plus a MoonBunny K-pop dance at 7:10pm. A stilt walker works the Studio Emporium water fountain at 7pm and 9:15pm. The lantern parade leaves the same fountain at 7:45pm and 8:30pm. Times can change. If you want to walk in the parade, buy a lantern on site at Studio Emporium, Galaxy Store, Freedom Shop, ESD Exchange or Redwoods Trading Post.
Highland nights in September sit well below daytime heat, often in the mid-teens Celsius once the mist drops. Bring a jacket. The park sits above Gohtong Jaya. Most visitors ride Awana SkyWay from the Awana station or Genting Highlands Premium Outlets rather than driving the hill in the dark after a concert. Last entry at 9pm is the real constraint. If you are coming up after dinner at SkyAvenue, leave a buffer for the SkyWay queue.
