The Haunted Highlands 2026 is already running at Resorts World Genting. Two paid haunted houses sit in Pavilion Hall at Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park from 15 October to 20 November 2026. RWG closed the houses on 19 and 20 October for a private event and reopens them on 21 October. Genting SkyWorlds and Skytropolis still dress the rest of the hill in Halloween shows that come with a normal park ticket. The first published window was 1 October to 1 November. The event page now runs through 20 November. If you are heading up this month, this is the festival that actually fills the calendar.
Official hours at Pavilion Hall are 2pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday, last entry 10pm. Friday, Sunday, and public holidays open at 1pm. The houses use fog, strobes, loud noise, and actors in your face. Resorts World Genting says pregnant guests and anyone with heart, asthma, or seizure issues should skip them. No food, vaping, flash photography, or touching the performers. Tickets are non-refundable.
Spookadilly x Kisah Bawah Tanah, RM30
This is the family house. Genting's Spookadilly mascots meet Astro's Malay-language series Kisah Bawah Tanah for the first time as a walkthrough. Kids of any age can enter if an adult stays with them. Children aged 3 and below go free. Everyone else pays RM30.
The plot is a rescue after Shrunken Head falls through a rift. You move through five named rooms:
- RnR. Karak Highway and the Yellow Beetle, with a Penanggal rumour thrown in.
- Cahaya Apartments. A Hantu Raya that wants to be left alone.
- Spookadilly Graveyard. Pocong territory.
- Spookadilly Mansion. A K-pop wayang kulit gag plus the Spookadilly cast.
- The Mart. Tok Mark's shop from the series, with Sulaiman the Wishmaster and a blind-box merch stall. YamchaTime lists the Halloween Blind Box figurines at RM40 each.
The series itself launched in March 2026. Two undead skeletons, Sam and Zack, leave Kampung Tulang for Bandar Bawah Tanah, fail at wrecking Tok Mart, and end up unpaid shop staff. The haunted house leans on that joke more than jump scares, which is why RWG put it on the all-ages ticket.
The Echo Asylum, 13 and up
The adult house is a 20,000 sq ft abandoned 1950s mental hospital. Entry is 13 years and above only. Walk-up price is RM78. An early-bird RM58 window ended on 29 September, so do not expect that rate at the kiosk this week.
Three zones: Resurrection Chamber, Patient Ward, Underground Lab & Morgue. The official backstory is grim even by haunted-house standards. A doctor builds an underground lab after a death in the family. Patients get electrotherapy, chemicals, and occult experiments. A second thread follows a mother whose newborn was taken into that lab. If you want the comedy house, stay in Spookadilly. Echo Asylum is the one that actually tries to rattle you.
Double the Fear is RM90 for both houses. Early bird was RM70, also gone. Horror Adventure is RM128 for both houses plus a standard Genting SkyWorlds day ticket, same price for Malaysians and non-Malaysians. Book on the RWG event page or at the kiosks around Pavilion Hall.
What is free with a park ticket
Genting SkyWorlds' own page, Spookadilly Thrills or Treats, runs 1 to 31 October. Halloween decorations, parades, and stage shows are bundled into regular admission. The outdoor park is 10am to 6pm and still closed most Tuesdays unless it is a Malaysian public holiday or school holiday. Hotel guests with a park ticket can enter from 9.30am.
SkyWorlds lists Demon Hunters Halloween Dance at Liberty Lane (5pm weekdays, 5.50pm weekends), a park-wide Halloween Parade on Friday to Sunday at 4.55pm, a Spooky Bus Conductor meet-and-greet, Zombie Delights at Andromeda Base at 4pm, and The Lost B-Boys Dance at Liberty Lane. An extra immersive show sits in Studio Plaza, the Malaysia Book of Records highest-altitude immersive studio, with sessions at 10am, 11am, 3pm, 4pm, and a 1pm slot on Friday to Sunday.
Skytropolis runs its own Zombie Delights on the indoor stage, Highland Heroes meet-and-greets, and Lost B-Boys out on SkyAvenue. YamchaTime, working from the same festival, also flags a street Halloween Parade from SkyAvenue to Pavilion Hall at 6.30pm and 7.30pm. Treat that as a second, later loop, not the 4.55pm SkyWorlds parade. Schedules can move without notice. Check the park app on the day.
Pavilion Hall food is themed rather than good. YamchaTime names BBQ Monster Meatball, Vampire Bloody Loaded Nachos, Halloween Pumpkin Soup, Devil's Corn Dog, Witch Hair Pasta Cheese Wheel, and a Blood Bag drink in an IV pouch. Fine for a photo. Eat a real meal at SkyAvenue if you care about dinner.
31 October, two very different nights
The festival's paid closer is Halloween Live Experience Concert 2026 at Arena of Stars on Saturday 31 October at 6pm sharp. Headliner is Taiwanese singer-producer Nick Chou, billed as Nickthereal, with Malaysian DJ Blink, Michael Jackson tribute act Wang Jackson, and Zen Ng doing Leslie Cheung. Doors matter. Late arrivals wait for a break.
List prices: VIP standing RM478, PS1 RM378, PS2 RM278, PS3 RM178, plus RM4 processing. Early bird 15% off VIP to PS2 is listed on the official page. VIP is standing only. No under-12s, pregnant guests, or wheelchair users in that zone. Seated children under 95cm can use a RM50 child ticket without a seat. Face painting is free at the concert. VIP gets extra merch. Book on rwgenting.com, not a Facebook reseller. RWG cancels resold tickets.
If the concert is not your night, Resorts World Awana is running a free Meowloween picnic on the Great Lawn the same date. Cats are allowed on the lawn, not in hotel rooms. Face painting starts at RM15. A Grab & Go picnic set is RM40. Lodge BBQ buffet is RM78 from 6pm to 10pm.
One planning snag sits on the cable cars. Genting SkyWay is closed 5 to 9 October for quarterly maintenance. Use Awana SkyWay, 7am to 11pm, plus a free van between Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Terminal and Gohtong Sentral lobby on 5, 6, 8, and 9 October, 9am to 7pm every 30 minutes. Then Awana SkyWay closes 12 to 16 October. Genting SkyWay runs instead, with free buses Sky Sentral to Gohtong Sentral from 7am to 11.30pm, and a van First World Hotel to Chin Swee Caves Temple 9am to 7pm. Do not assume the gondola you used last trip is the one that is open.
